Since 1975
Sourced from the heart of Copán Ruinas, Honduras, San Isidro Coffee is a testament to the Duke Family’s dedication to sustainable farming and exceptional coffee. Our eco-friendly coffee plantation has flourished, home to over 180 species of orchids, birds, and butterflies. Over the past five years, the farm has transitioned to specialty coffee production, with a focus on quality that has earned them a place in the prestigious Cup of Excellence pre-selection process. At the core of this transformation is the empowerment of the women who play an integral role in every step, from harvesting to quality control. Each 12 oz bag captures the essence of this unique and vibrant coffee, perfect for those who appreciate the story behind their brew.
How it all started...
We met in Vail, Colorado, where our shared love for coffee sparked a dream—to roast beans from Erika’s family farm in Copán Ruinas, Honduras, and share them with the world. Inspired by Joe’s father, Maynard Hulm, whose visits to the farm and playful pose with a dancing jaguar sculpture in the Copán ruins gave our brand its name, we launched Dancing Jaguar Coffee in 2021. Since then, we’ve grown as a couple, a business, and a community—opening our second location in 2025 and working hand in hand with small farmers, especially women, to bring meaningful, high-quality coffee from our hearts to your cup.

Since 1975, the Duke Family’s love and care for their coffee plantation has allowed them to cultivate eco-friendly, specialty coffee. Their farm, “San Isidro,” is the home of more than 180 species of orchids, birds (including hummingbirds), and butterflies in Copán Ruinas, Honduras.

For the past 5 years, the farm has transitioned from the production of conventional coffee to specialty coffee and began a pre-selection process for the Alliance For Coffee Excellence’s “Cup of Excellence”- the most prestigious competition and award for high-quality coffees.

The empowerment of women has been a key piece to achieve their transformation. The women of Farm San Isidro are an integral part of the productive process: from the collection of coffee and quality control to the manual selection of coffee exportation.
